A Quick Thing

I have a few minutes before my flight, so I am taking that opportunity. Posts will be daily for the next little while. Still trying to work out a kink in the design. Results will be posted by the end of the week. Talk to you all later.

Levels

Hello world,
This is a tentative list of levels (may change), complete with small explainations of what will be happening.

1. Transylvania: Basically, this is a level centred around Castel Noapte, the Castle of the Lord of the Night (Eclipse). There will be a few surrounding settlements, plus tons of countryside. The main goal of the level is to figure out how to
destroy the demonseed, which is mostly in Eclipse's own castle.

2. New York: A level in the Big Apple! You will also be able to go out to sea a bit, a go through a touch of countryside. The centre of the demonseed is in Central Park, and you will have to destroy it, while figuring out why it appeared in New York.

3. Cambodia: This will be a huge level in terms of size. You will be centred around Phnom Penh, plus tons of surrounding jungle. The goal is basically the same as in the last two levels: Destroy the demonseed. Plus, you will have to figure out the reason that demonseed is appearing at all. THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT!!!!!

4. Egypt: You will be going around Cairo, taking in Giza (Great pyramids, Sphinx) and the nile. Central area is the great pyramid. You just have to destroy the demonseed. That's all.

5. Rome: Name speaks for itself: You are just in Rome. Goal is to destroy demonseed. You will also be given a load of pointless thinking. HINT HINT!!!

6. Transylvania II: Basically repeat of 1st level. Have to figure out how to completely destroy demonseed. COMPLETELY!!!

7. Finale: You are underground, at the root of the demonseed. Basically, you have to destroy the roots. That will end the game.

This list will probably change, but hold tight, more coming tommorow!

I am BACK!!!!

Hi everybody.
I am officially back to the computer. I will be here for two more days, and then I'm out of town for a bit. I might be posting a few things now and then, but don't expect anything. Simon should be the main guy for most of the summer. By the way, just to let all of you know, I am redoing some of the theme for the game (nothing important), and you might notice a few changes to my posts. Other than that, that's all for now. See you later!

Some Character Background

The game cannot really be understood without knowing some historical background of both characters. First of all, I will take you through the life of Flare. He was born in a small town in Sicily to a Sicilian father, and American mother. The boy led a fairly normal life until he was 12 years old. This was when his lunar powers began appearing. From then on, his grandfather was the only person who accepted him. When the boy was 14, he went to the mainland with his grandfather, and never returned. This was when he took the name of Flare, overwriting his given name, Lucio. This effectively seperated him from his old life. When Flare was 17, his grandfather returned to Sicily, and left him to make his own choices. Flare made his way around Europe, trying to find a good fighting job. For 4 years, he took assignments as bodyguards, assasins, and a few other criminal ventures. Finally, when Flare was 21, he found the perfect job: the personal army of the Transylvanian Lord of the Night (Eclipse). For the next two years, Flare moved up in the ranks, until his only superior was Eclipse himself. That is basically the entire story of Flare. Now to Eclipse. Eclipse's full title is the Basque Prince of the Night, and his family has secretly been ruling Transylvania since the 14th century. His family has always commanded an army, however, it used to be comprised of vampires, werewolves, and the like. Now, Eclipse has changed all this, and has allied the Lords of the Night with all things good. The army is now just normal people, and it is an autonomous branch of the Romanian army. Eclipse's other history was just as plain as can be: he lived in the Castle, and was taught how to use his powers from the age of 12. That's basically it about the main characters. Probably won't see any more postings from me for about a week, so Simon can take care of that.
See you all later!

A bit about this blog

This is the official blog of the upcoming game Demonseed. All of the posts will have something or other to do with the game, so this is definitely not a personal blog. First of all, I'd like to share the basic information about the game with you. It is a first-person shooter, with a few elements of an rpg. You can do almost anything you like, and can make your own choices as to the storyline. The limitations are that you actually have to complete the story, or you lose the game. You also have to stay in a certain area (i.e. City and some countryside) until your task is completed. You can also look at that as the levels. However, you will also be able to return to the area if you need to do something there. You have a choice of character: you can be Flare, who is a bit of a live wire, and is infused with solar power. You can also be Eclipse, who is actually a Transylvanian Lord. He commands an army, and Flare is one of his top Generals. Eclipse has lunar powers. That's it for now world. See ya!
